While I do like THSD.. If I had been going to shows at the bassment for years (which I haven't) I would want notable local bands to play the last show.

It just seems random and unsymbolic to have The Cancer Bats and Holly Springs disaster for this show.. As much as I like having surreal in the scene and them bringing some good bands to Regina and Saskatoon, this does seem like a cash grab.

I wouldn't say it's that horrible that Hollysprings is playing, at least they are from Saskatchewan. But I still agree that it would be cool to see at least one last show with a few more (reputable) Saskatoon locals. So far all there is by the looks of it is the Poser Disposer show in Feburary.
And at least the promoter is open to more locals playing. If you wanna see a certain band play then tell them to email the promoter, it wouldn't hurt.

Ahaha I got asked to play the Feb 22'nd show.. The promoter hasn't given me any details or anything though.. Oh well.l
