Drummer and bass player needed for touring... 6 Months, 2 Weeks ago Karma: 1
I'm working with a Regina area acoustic rock type act that is booked to go on tour extensively this summer/fall. Some shows require a full band, where as some do not, but we would like most to be the full band. Due to scheduling conflicts our current drummer and bass player may not be able to commit. If you know of anyone that is interested in possibly filling either spot please let me know immediately.

This is for serious inquiries only. The positions should be filled and ready to play by July 1 (possibly sooner for a show in Toronto in Mid-June, but this doesn't have to be the full band if we're not ready). The fall tour (Aug. 22-Oct. 5) is the biggest concern though becuase it goes to the states and many shows that require the full band and not the duo.

Touring currently booked/being worked on includes Western Canada (twice), United States, a few major showcases and possibly an Eastern tour. Expected crowds for selected shows could be as high as 1,200 people (possibly more depending on pending festival applications). This act is currently being played on radio stations in the USA, Austrailia, Canada and the UK and has just started working with a publicist and radio promoter, so the list will grow rapidly over the next few months.

Here's what we're looking for:
Must not have a criminal record or anything that could even possibly cause a problem crossing the US Border.
Must be a mature and responsible individual that can commit to a proffessional act.
Must be able to commit to touring in spans from 2-6 weeks at a time (IE: flexible job and/or financially stable enough to take that kind of time off work) and possibly longer if things go well over the next year.
Experience playing to a click track/studio experience would be an asset.
Must not do drugs (at least while on tour anyways)
Non-smoker prefered
Aged 18-30 prefered, but not required
Preferably looking for someone to join the band full time as opposed to a session musician.

If you are interested in auditioning, please e-mail me as soon as possible at thecoach17@hotmail.com
